The theory of games is the theory of decision making.

Game Theory teaches you to step out of your shoes and into the shoes of the person you are managing/negotiating with or selling to, and see things from their perspective (strategically speaking) before using this additional information to make decision that will maximize your utility.

In poker the best players in the world are constantly assessing their gut feel, the other player’s table image (brand), their betting patterns (negotiations), the odds and probabilities (the risk and reward), and their own cards (the business and the industry) in order to make decisions that have a greater that 50% chance of being profitable in the long run.
