Imperfect Information

Imperfect information. Imperfect Decisions.

Two words – big meaning. Too often intent, decisions and actions are ill-founded, because of a lack of information. Why, because imperfect information creates uncertainty amongst individuals in games and business and where these uncertainties exist, people are unable to assess the costs and benefits of decisions they make.

Getting this information can be very difficult, given that in many situations, your opponent is intentionally trying to hide or cover-up what their plan of action is to a certain extent. Similarly, you are also trying to hide your intentions from your opponent when making big strategic decisions. Whether it be around a poker table or in a business environment, it is absolutely critical that we take the time to see the game from the other player’s perspective.
